Inspection Requirements
All construction or work for which a permit is required shall be inspected by the City Building Inspector. All work should remain accessible and exposed for inspection purposes until approved.
Beginning October 1, 2020, new fees will be implemented for residential, commercial and fire inspections; residential and commercial permits. Please refer to the adopted Ordinance 2020-025(O) FY20/21 Master Fee Schedule.
To schedule an inspection, fill out the form below to process an online request. You may also contact the Permit Clerk by calling 210-655-0022 ext 2430. Inspection requests require a 24 hour minimum notification and must be called in before 3:30 PM on the business day prior to the desired date. When requesting an inspection, you must provide the point of contact information, project address, type of inspection, and permit number. Inspection results will be posted within 24 hours of the inspection under the "View All Inspections" tab on the online payment portal.
