Windcrest Light Up

Event Support

The annual Windcrest Light Up is a decades-old tradition in which residents decorate their homes with elaborate displays of holiday lights. A contest is held to pick the most beautifully decorated homes in various judging categories and the public is invited to drive along neighborhood streets to view the brightly-lit displays. This event is made possible through numerous volunteers, the Windcrest Economic Development Corporation and the Windcrest Women's Club.

Thousands of visitors from San Antonio and the surrounding area come to see the free lighting event every year. Light Up begins with an opening ceremony in mid-December and lasts through New Year’s Eve. This year is the 57th Annual Light Up celebration for Windcrest.
